Training Your Ears

     TRAINING YOUR EARS.

train-your-hearingAs an artist your most important body part are your ears. You can have the looks of a top artist; but if your ear’s condition is not the where it’s supposed to, you’re practically a total zero.

Keep Them Healthy With Training

Nowadays we listen to iPods we go to parties with lot’s of Decibels pumping trough the subwoofers and speakers; and driving around in your car you’d like to flip the knob for some time if a nice track playing. Your ears are the most important body part as a musician, and that’s why you should train them sometimes.

Wear Earplugs At Events.

When you need to perform on a event you are probably like a whole night in a surrounding with high amounts of noise; if you work at club or love clubbing you are constantly attacked by a amount of decibels which are totally not healthy for your ears. Common devices to protect your ears to these dangerously attacking sound waves are earplugs. At your local place, and at the Internet you can order those earplugs custom made special for your ears only. If you don’t feel like investing in these you can always reduce the amount of decibels attacking your ears with special designed gum for your ears, it’s much cheaper and it’s really worth the effort.

The Ultimate Training

When I was younger I listened a wide variety of different genres in music. I listened to music from artists like Sinatra; to the latest hip hop bangers, and club music. By listening to those completely different styles I started hearing the differences in mixing between these styles, which are actually pretty particular for the style itself. By checking different layers in these songs you learn a lot, and it helps you creating that specific style just by mixing the instruments in that specific way.

Stuck On Replay

The real trick in training your hearing is just listen a lot of styles, mix a lot of styles, practice with microphones and different acoustics rooms, and in time you will start to hear more and more different layers
